Hi Mandy, hope you are well.

I was just wondering do you have a book review section on either website? Sorry if you do, i can’t seem to be able to find it. I think a review section would be great, maybe even guest reviews? I was thinking also about the interview’s idea i mentioned, perhaps it would be easier to start with people like Kate Williams and possibly a couple of other historians- having met Kate a few times i know she’s very approachable and friendly, others like Robert Hardman, Christopher Warwick, Penny Junor etc would be great, but i understand it’s not the easiest thing to do- it would certainly be interesting to see the reporters like Richard Palmer, Camilla Tominey, Victoria Murphy and the photographer Arthur Edwards be interviewed- they also seem very approachable, if you are able to do it i suggest opening it up for your readers to ask questions as well, as that would take some pressure of you- if i can help in anyway possible please let me know :=)

    All the best for know
    James

    • Hi James –

Book reviews and interviews can be seen on my blog, The Royal Representative. I have had the good fortune to interview Sassi Holford (designer of Autumn Phillips’ wedding gown) as well as Michael Farquhar, writer of several bestselling books on historic royal scandals (“A Treasury of…” series).

BTW, I apologize for the disappearance of the chat feature. It proved to be unpopular, though I encourage everyone to utilize the Facebook page.

      Kind regards,

      Mandy

      • Happy New Year Mandy :-)

Thank you for letting me know, i will be checking those out for sure- they sound very interesting, lucky you.

Such a shame about ‘chat feature’ :-( i really liked that and enjoyed chatting.

Very glad you’ll be reading ‘Queen of the Conqueror’ by Tracy Borman, she’s lovely isn’t she, i’ve had the pleasure of meeting her a few times- very very friendly- she did a book with Kate Williams and two other Historians ( Alison Weir and Sarah Gristwood- who i’ve also had the pleasure of meeting a few times), called ‘The Ring and the Crown- a history of Royal Weddings from 1066-2011′- a very good read ( your’s truly reviewed it on Amazon UK lol), i would recommend following them on Twitter- they always follow back and our very friendly and happy to talk. Speaking of Twitter have you come across ‘Queen Victoria Tweets’? It’s a project set up as if Queen Victoria had Twitter in 1838 quite interesting- it’s designed by a guy called Ashley from the Royal Holloway University in London ( where Kate Williams is a lecturer).
        Speak soon. take care :-)
